This is a great performance set, with a range of technical demands thrown into the mix.  Acrobatic Aces is an easy-to-do, flashy transformation of any 4 cards into any other 4 cards. I find myself using this as a regular way to get into any effect that needs four of a kind.

Secret to a Perfect Royal Flush is certainly one of the top self-working card effects of all time. It’s one of those beautiful effects that literally sets itself up right in front of the audience, and because you are so far ahead, all you have to do is deal 2 rounds of poker and the effect happens by itself!

As for Triumph, well, I’ll never forget Dai Vernon’s reaction when I performed it for him during the filming of the RevelationsSeries. I thought we were just going to talk about the technique, so I just did the moves without the story. Well, the Professor made the point that the story is everything. To just perform the techniques used in this routine without the context is to miss the point entirely, and yet, the special shuffle used in this routine is really amazing, and it’s taught it complete detail here. This isn’t self-working, obviously, but when you perform this routine you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you’ve done real sleight-of-hand!
