Course Description

Bent Penny Transposition by Michael Ammar

Hornswoggled by George Stark, Jay Malbrough

Both of the effects in this set can stand on their own, in fact, each effect can be a reputation making routine all by itself. The Bent Penny Transposition was one of the effects I contributed to The Magic Hedonists Brainstorm in the Bahamas book back in the early eighties, and for some reason it flew under the radar of most people. Yet the structure of the effect is very solid and sound, and as the kicker to an In-The-Hands transposition with a spectator, the spectator opens his hands to find the coin he was holding so tightly is now bent from the pressure of his grip. In effect, a borrowed object has been magically altered and then returned to the owner in it's permanently altered state!

Hornswoggled is a bill counting routine that has built into its presentation a beginning, middle and an ending that is congruent with the storyline and yet unexpected and surprising. Basically self-working and always ready to go, this is the perfect effect to always carry in your pocket or briefcase.
