The Professor was one of those people who performed far more magic in the real world than he did in a structured show in a theater. So much of his repertoire was performed in the conversational style you see in Out of Sight, Out of Mind. While he casually shuffled and talked, it seemed as if all you did was to think of a card, only to have those thoughts revealed. This was one of those cerebral effects that turned the Professors magic into the stuff of legends.

Following this is the Paul Harris conceptual piece, where a Captain Kirk card is beamed back aboard the Enterprise! Of course, that’s just one of the many plots you could wrap around Grasshopper…
